Annually, the Mall has a sidewalk sale, getting rid of all the items the shops haven’t been able to sell throughout the year. Shaggy the stuffed kitten has been through many sales and is still in the store, and this year is his last chance. The customers come and go, the others toys are being taken home, but not Shaggy. Who wants a kitten with a lopsided face, a kitten who looks more like a bear?
Surely someone does…and that someone will also know just how it feels to be unwanted, and unloved…
